Private diaries: Handwritten diary kept by Thompson while master of the SHAHJEHAN (1946), between January 1954 and December 1954. There are some inserted items including a small black/white photograph showing a broken propeller blade, taken after the ship had docked for repairs at Yokohama, April 1954.
