Illustrated log of HMS ST ALBANS and HMS AFRICA
Log kept by William Innes Pocock as master's mate on HMS ST ALBANS, commanded by Captain Francis William Austen, covering a voyage from the East Indies to England, between 8 August 1809 and 25 November 1810. It then covers proceedings of HMS AFRICA at Spithead, between 27 November 1810 and 17 December 1810. At the front of the volume is a drawing of the ST ALBANS at Port Cornwallis (Penang). At the back are drawings of coastal profiles, and others showing architectural details of bridges and houses.
