Logbook kept by Midshipman Henry P Wilson, HMS ALBION, between May 1902 and November 1903.

The log was kept mainly on the China Station. Contains a fold out chart showing British trade with major ports in the world, produced by Henry P Wilson. There are also several detailed colour track charts and machine designs produced by H P Wilson throughout the volume. Includes information about sailing through a typhoon; landing marines for drills; visit of a Japanese Admiral and also a Korean Minister inspected the ship. The volume ends with a personal note over Henry's excitement over passing his exams.

Administrative / biographical background
HMS ALBION arrived at Hong Kong on 11 September 1901, and relieved HMS BARFLEUR as second flagship of the China Station, based in that city. Captain Martyn Jerram was appointed flag captain in March 1902. Henry P Wilson became a Commander by the time on 8 May 1922
