‘Concord to Yangtze’
An account of his first spell of foreign service as an electrical artificer in the Royal Navy, on the light cruiser HMS CONCORD (1916) in 1928.
‘In the Ship Exeter’
This covers his service on the cruiser HMS EXETER (1929), including the Battle of the River Plate and award of the OBE at Buckingham Palace, 1936-1940.
‘The Dock’
The main subject is the Admiralty floating dock AFD 23 at Trincomalee and the accident involving the battleship HMS VALIANT (1914) in 1944.
