Photograph album, circa 1950-1954
Album of black/white photographic prints covering events at the Incorporated Thames Nautical Training College, circa 1950-1954. There are photographs of the training ships HMS WORCESTER ex EXMOUTH (1905) and CUTTY SARK (1869), the annual prize giving, sports events, the Ingress Abbey building and a fire at Empire Paper Mills at Greenhithe. Several show Field Marshal Lord Montgomery visiting the WORCESTER to present prizes and the paddle steamer ROYAL EAGLE (1932) coming alongside in 1950. There is also a series by Beken showing various yachts competing at the Cowes Regatta.
