Papers relating to Captain William Pocock escorting a convoy of 12 merchant ships to Barbados in the UNION ISLAND in 1798
This item relates to William Innes Pocock's uncle, also named William. The folder includes a copy of a letter to Captain Pocock from the masters of the ships and edition of the St. Vincent Gazette with a printed copy of the same letter (both 1798). Also a letter to Captain Pocock from 1802 from his nephew John Innes Pocock with a copy of the inscription on a time piece presented to Pocock by Lloyd's relating to this incident.
