Contents includes notes on the pirate Captain John Ward; songs and notes about the Angel Gabriel of Bristol; copies and sheet music to ‘The Seaman’s Compass’; extensive notes and correspondence on the song ‘The Golden Vanity’; correspondence with Professor Joel Baer, including a pamphlet ‘Eighteenth Century Life’, containing a copy of ‘“Captain John Avery” and the Anatomy of a Mutiny’; and a rough draft of the essay with Palmer’s annotations.
