Scott of the Antarctic : a life of courage and tragedy in the extreme South /David Crane.
A biography of Robert Falcon Scott (1868-1912). Following Huntford's critical account of Scott's life, this author has revisited primary sources to reassess Scott's life, naval career and achievements. Extracts from Scott's letters and diaries are used throughout the narrative. The author seeks to deal fairly with Scott's achievements as well as the difficult aspects of his character and describes the context of his early life, naval background and his polar expeditions on the Discovery and Terra Nova.
