Christian Spurling : picture me /edited by Steven D. Smale.

"Christian Spurling (1902-1993) was the youngest son of John 'Jack' Spurling and Helena Humble. Jack Spurling was a well-known English artist famous for his depictions of nineteenth century clipper ships. Christian was an artist in his own right, and during the 1970s and 1980s he created some remarkable copies of his father's works. Christian's artistic achievements were overshadowed late in life by controversy surrounding his involvement with a Loch Ness Monster hoax. His life spanned every decade of the twentieth century. This is his biography and catalogue raisonnâee."--Provided by the publisher.
