Keep your head down : a Falklands farewell

A first-hand account of a naval diver during The Falklands War. The author was part of a bomb and mine disposal team and this account is based on diaries he kept at the time. The memoir describes the mundane nature of day-to-day army life, and how the author and his men stayed entertained when off duty. This is mixed with the high pressure and intensity of the job when they are called out. The author focuses on the war from the perspective of him and his team. The author includes several of the poems he wrote during the conflict, as well as letters home to friends and family. The book also includes a series of black and white photographs taken at the time and a detailed set of appendices, where providing official 'war reports' on several of the jobs the author and his team conducted. Also provided are details of what happened to the men mentioned in the book, as well as a series of songs that were popular during the conflict.
