A historical account of the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company, recording events from its formation in 1830 to the introduction of SeaCat services in 1994. The company suffered severe financial difficulties in the 1980s and merged with Sealink in 1985. The book is written in a year-by-year diary format. The book includes a fleet list, extensive black and white and colour photographs, and an index of ships' names.
