The stowed mainsail is covered with matting and washing is hanging on bamboo poles on the port side of the waist. Negatives numbers P34432 to P34436 inclusive were all taken on board the same junk.

She is a three masted vessel and her mizzen mast is lashed in the starboard corner of the poop. She has a lug sail set at each mast and her anchor is hanging over the bow. Her rudder board cannot be seen. Four storey flat roofed buildings on a stone wharf are in the background.

The bow and the decking appear to be badly damaged and a note in the photographer's album reads "Burned by Japs 1937". A number of people are on the stone wharf in the background.

Her port number T130H is painted either side of the flat bow. Other fishing sampans or small junks are on the right and a flat roofed building with balconies is on the left.. A number of Tongkung type ketch rigged junks are in the background.

The vessel is a three masted type and her lug sails are stowed fore and aft. A number of local and deep-sea steam and motor ships are in the background.

P34270; The southern stone facade of the ruins of St Paul's Church in Macao. The church was built between 1602 and 1640 and the facade was carved between 1620 and 1627. It was destroyed by a fire during a typhoon on the 26 January 1835. The façade sits on a small hill, with 68 stone steps leading up to it and the photographer is stnading on the steps looking up.

The photographer is on the starboard side of the foredeck looking forward and to port showing the cable holders and the anchor ropes leading over the bow. The photographer was in the area in the periods 3 June to 7 October 1937 and 8 June to 4 September 1938. Negatives numbers P34519 to P34540 are all of this vessel taken on the same occasion.

Two of the crew are leaning on the accommodation shelter and another is inside the shelter. The mainsail is stowed fore and aft and is covered with matting. P34317; A group photograph of the captain and crew of the Indian kotia type dhow Karimi (fl.1938) anchored at Colombo, Ceylon. The captain is in the centre of the group. The photographer is on the starboard side of the forecastle looking aft and the group are standing in the forward part of the waist. An awning is rigged over the aft part of the waist. The photographer was taking passage on the Royal Navy heavy cruiser Cumberland (1926) from Singapore to the U.K. at the time.
