Niagara (1898)
A 12x10 negative. A port very near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the spritsail rigged barge Niagara (1898) under sail in the lower reaches of the River Thames. She is a staysail barge with no bowsprit and is on the starboard tack. She is in ballast and her leeboards are raised. There is a larger than usual number of people on board and she may be taking part in a Thames Barge Match.
