The minesweepers Pickle (1943) and Worthing (1941) and the corvette Baddeck (1940) in No. 3 Basin, Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire.
An aerial port near broadside view of the minesweeper Pickle (1943) berthed under the 20 ton travelling crane on the east wall of No. 3 Basin, Portsmouth Dockyard, taken from the 250 ton hammerhead crane on the Promontory. Her pendant number is J293 and she is a unit of the 7th MS Flotilla. Outboard of her is the Canadian corvette Baddeck (1940), pendant K147, and the minesweeper Worthing (1941), pendant J72, a unit of the 15th MS Flotilla. The hydraulic gear store and the radar store are on the dockside. An 0-4-0 saddle tank steam locomotive is in the left background. Resident photographer Robert William Wheeler took the photograph using a 5" x 4" press plate camera, assisted by Mr Fred E Wooden.
