Armillary sphere

Armillary sphere. Flat but fully assembled and opens automatically to stand upright. Wood coloured stand with six inter-connecting gold coloured rings.

The primary sphere consists of a series of interlocking paper rings. In the centre, there is a small disc representing the Earth as captured in the photograph taken by the ATS III satellite in 1967. This item is accompanied by a small booklet, 'Seymour Robins, The armillary sphere'.
