Cadet K J Mills with the ship's pets on board the general cargo heavy lift ship Empire Elaine (1942) in port.
A slightly distant study of cadet Ken J Mills with the ship's pets on board the general cargo heavy lift ship Empire Elaine (1942) while in port. He is wearing shorts, a short sleeved polo shirt, socks and plimsolls and is sitting on a short mushroom vent on the port side of the forward end of the boat deck. The bitch Sandy is sitting on his left and he has a puppy between his legs. The photographer is looking forward and to starboard showing a full deck cargo of railway wagons. The ship still has a chipchase quick release raft abreast the midships 5 ton derrick. Vertical format.
