Sydney Harbour bridge, Sydney, New South Wales
A distant view of the Sydney Harbour bridge, Sydney, New South Wales, from on board the general cargo heavy lift ship Empire Elaine (1942) which is bound in from Newcastle, New South Wales, for a berth in Darling Harbour. The significance of the numbers 129' and 305' on the bulkhead are not known. The Royal Australian Navy light cruiser Hobart (1934) is on the left of the picture. She is seen from off her starboard beam while moored in Farm Cove and has an awning rigged aft.
