Sydney Cove, Sydney, New South Wales
Looking east-by-south across Sydney Cove from the harbour bridge at Sydney, New South Wales. Alongside berth 7B on the extreme left and seen from ahead is the Australian coaster Matthew Flinders (1938). She is in ballast. On the opposite side of the finger jetty in berth 7A is the 4 masted general cargo barque Pamir (1905) seen from off her starboard bow. Entering Sydney Cove is a ferry, either the Curl Curl (1928) or the Dee Why (1928), bound in from Manly. Two general cargo ships are on the east side of Sydney Cove and the Royal Australian Navy light cruiser Hobart (1934) is in Farm Cove. Alongside Garden Island Navy Yard in the distance is the infantry landing ship Manoora (1935). In the right background is a six storey building with a large advertisement for Sunshine full cream powdered milk on its roof. Vertical format.
