The iron ore is transferred from the surface and subterranean mines to the wharf using continuous conveyor belts supported on substantial wooden trestle structures. The photographer is standing by a pile of iron ore looking up the cliff at the series of chutes on trestles. A small grab is being used to load ore from the pile in the foreground. Vertical format.
