A starboard side view of the Brazilian Navy training ship Almirante Saldanha (1934).
A starboard side view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the Brazilian Navy four-masted training topsail schooner Almirante Saldanha (1934) under tow in harbour. The extreme stern of the tug is on the right of the image. A three-man skiff can be seen off her port bow. Crew are seen on deck. and a motor launch is under way close off the starboard side. The tops of her fore and main masts and the ti[p of her bowsprit are just out of the picture.
She is a topsail schooner rather than a barquentine as her foremast has only two masts rather than the three expected on the barquentine.
