A distant port side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the Cunard White Star Line passenger liner and cruise ship Britannic (1930) moored to a finger jetty off Shell Oil's Curacao terminal in Caracas Baai (Bay), Willemstad harbour, Curacao Island, Dutch West Indies. Fort Beekenburg on the right lies on a promontory next to Caracas Bay (east of the city of Willemstad) and was built in 1703 to protect the entrance to the bay behind it; the Spaanse Water. The land in the foreground is home to a number of cacti plants. The negative is very slightly out of focus. Negative number P.83450 is similar and was taken on the same occasion.
