Waimate (1874)
A quarter plate negative. A starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the 3 masted ship rigged vessel Waimate (1874) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is rigged with double topsails and single topgallants. She has painted ports and a large number of people are gathered on her poop. A stumpy spritsail barge is alongside her port side amidships. Tilbury is in the background. Negatives numbers G1571 and G2310 were taken on the same occasion. A Gould copy of a Gould photographic print made from whole plate negative number G1571.
