Yarmouth (1959) on board views on completion

A half plate sheet film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the gunbay on 2 deck between 20½ and 25½ stations. The photographer is looking forward and to port from the aft end of the bay showing bays 10, 11 and 12. Bay 12 contains a rectifier unit and an emergency lamp is on the girder between bays 11 and 12. A wooden control box is on the girder between bays 8 and 9 in the left foreground. The shell and cartridge troughs encircle the gun turret revolving platform and above the shell trough is a load indicator box for general service pump motor. A pressure gauge made by C.P. Stewart Ltd is on the right and a voice pipe is at the top of the picture.
