Yarmouth (1959) on board views on completion
A half plate sheet film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the V.G.S. pump space on the starboard side of the gunbay on 2 deck between 21½ and 24½ stations. The photographer is looking forward showing the pump in the centre. On the right are bread lockers and a locker labelled 'turret spare gear'. On the extreme left is a hammock stowage rack. In the forward starboard corner is a wooden crate standing on end with 4.5 on it and the restraining bar is labelled 'Hysterisir gear'. A wooden barrel with a six pointed star on the lid is in the foreground.
