Yarmouth (1959) on board views on completion
A half plate sheet film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the bridge wireless office on the starboard side of 2 deck between 32¾ and 35 stations. The photographer is looking forward and to starboard showing four bays for communication ratings. Bays 2 and 3 are labelled 'Normal bay with unattended receiver'. All four bays have morse keys and bay 2 has a Creed & Co Ltd teletypewriter. Two C.U.J. 692 units and a transceiver with a rectifier under it are at the end of the row. On the ship's side are four control circuit exchange (C.C.X.) units labelled A, B, C and D.
