Yarmouth (1959) on board views on completion

A half plate sheet film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the ordnance records office on the port side of 2 deck between 34 and 35½ stations. The photographer is looking to port. An amplifier unit is on the left with an asdic junction box and a fuse distribution box on the ship's side. On the right is a desk and chair, table, an high level book rack and a distribution panel. This compartment is shown as U.C.S. F2 Amplifier Compartment on an Admiralty plan in the NMM collection with the number NPD1567, John Brown & Co Ltd plan number B43424 and Admiralty Curator number 886745/2.
