Hermes (1953). A small scullery area during conversion.
A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is below decks in a small scullery area. A stainless steel worktop, part of which is lifted up, is in the foreground. On the other side of the worktop is a door with a service hatch and drop-down shelf to the side of it. The photographer has allocated the number 3 to this location. A vertical format negative.
