A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the galley preparing space on the port side of 4 deck between 33 and 39 stations showing a stainless steel sink unit on the right with shelves over. Electric motors and a control panel are on the end bulkhead. A butchers block is on the left with a heavy duty door beyond it. The photographer has allocated the number 7 to this location. A vertical format negative.
