A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the junior rates dining hall port scullery on 4 deck between 59 and 62½ stations. He is looking to starboard and forward showing the stainless steel worktop and the roller shutter is closed. Under the worktop is a rack for wooden boxes for cutlery and small items and in the corner is the gash disposal unit. The worktop on the left includes a sink with plate racks above and a drawer under. The photographer has allocated the number 13 to this location.
