A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the assault operations room on the starboard side of 1 deck between 91 and 107 stations, looking to starboard from the forward end of the room. A covered wall map and a B40 receiver unit are on the starboard bulkhead. On the right is the command desk and a communications desk is on the left.
