A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in the north yard of Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is on the centre of the hangar at 140 station on 3 deck looking to port. On the port hangar wall are two cable reels, stowage for a spare drop tank reeve, stowage for a CO2 twin cylinder trolley and an aluminium extending ladder. Large storage racks are at high level.
