A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in the north yard of Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is on the centre of the hangar at 156 station on 3 deck looking to port and aft. On the port hangar wall is an avcat fuel pump and hose reel with a ventilation unit above it. A painters scaffold tower is against the weapons lift alongside the main lift well.
