On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Lowestoft (1960) alongside the fitting out berth of Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd at Linthouse, Glagow. The photographer is in the lobby between 21½ and 24¾ stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking forward and to starboard from the doorway. In the left foreground is a motorized pump with a starter beyond it. A wooden crate containing spares for the 4.5 inch Mark VI gun mounting is against the starboard side of the ship. A large bottle screw and a shackle are mounted on the forward bulkhead. A vertical format negative that has yellow crayon lines drawn on it to advise the printer to ignore the wire mesh screen around the doorway.
