        On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Lowestoft (1960) alongside the fitting out berth of Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd at Linthouse, Glasgow.  The photographer is in the pump metadyne compartment and T.A.S. store between 15½ and 19 stations on the starboard side of 4 deck looking forward showing a vertical centrifugal pump against the forward bulkhead.  A motor generator and a terminal box are against the inboard bulkhead and shelving is against the ship's side.  Labelling on the shelves read 'Mechanical spares chest', 'Demolition tools box', 'Demolition equipment box' and 'Tools & spare gear A/S mortar Mk. 10 chest'.
