        On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971.  The photographer is in the junior rates' mess between 57 and 62½ stations on 3 deck looking to port from 62 station on the starboard side showing a triple berth bunk unit, an electric fire, a mirror,  two kit lockers and a suitcase rack on the right.   Seven kit lockers, seven boot lockers, a Thermotank air conditioning unit and a fire extinguisher are against the aft bulkhead on the left.  A vertical format negative.
