        On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971.  The photographer is in the hangar between 49 and 57 stations on 1 deck looking forward and slightly to starboard from 53 station showing the missile hoist trunking and a cleaning tank with two taps on the left.  A fire extinguisher and a Thermotank air conditioning unit are against the forward bulkhead.  A workbench with cupboard and drawers under is fitted with a vice and above it is an hydraulic winch.  A rag tank is under the stairs leading up to a storage platform and the air electrical maintance room.  A step ladder is stored against the starboard bulkhead.
