        On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971.  The photographer is in the regulating office between 54½ and 56 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking to port from the doorway showing a desk with an Olivetti 82 typewriter on it, a locker and drawer unit  with a double door cupboard above it and a shelf unit with ledgers on top of it and a combination safe above.  A suitcase is standing on end in front of the shelf unit.  A  double settee/bunk berth, a wash basin, toiletries cabinet and Thermotank air conditioning unit are against the forward bulkhead.  An electric fire, two pin-up pictures, a small box of Oxo cubes and a sheet of veneer are against the ship's side.  A chief petty officer's cap is above the scuttle cover.  A vertical format negative.
