The Type 81 general purpose frigate Eskimo (1961) in dry dock in Chatham Dockyard during her 1971-1974 modernisation. She was in dry dock from 4 October to 25 October 1973. The photographer is on the bottom of the dock looking up from under the hull showing the main circulating discharge on the port side of the keel. Ford No.8 has been chalked on the hull. A man is holding a scale stick against the hull alongside the discharge and this is covering the white divers search line painted on the hull.
