A distant starboard bow view of the Cunard Line cruise ship Franconia (1923) at anchor in an unknown location.
A distant starboard bow view of the Cunard Line cruise ship Franconia (1923) at anchor in an unknown location. The photographer is looking out to the anchorage from a slightly elevated position ashore with a small harbour and breakwater in the foreground. The ship is in an all-white livery, has her port anchor deployed and an accommodation ladder is rigged to a shell door amidships. Two boats are by the accommodation ladder and a small vessel has steamed past the bow and is turning along the port side.
