Six studies of ships under sail
Medium includes graphite. Four of the ships shown are brigs, probably coastal or short-haul traders for commodities including coal: that at far right is full-rigged and apparenly with three quarter-deck gunports, but probably also a trader since not flying a naval pennant. [PvdM 10/19]
