The former British Power Boat Co Ltd boatyard at Hythe, Hampshire
        
        The former boatyard of the British Power Boat Co. Ltd.  The company was formed 30 September 1927 to use R Kemp's Hythe Boatyard which Hubert-Scott Paine had purchased in the same year.   The British Power Boat Company became a limited liability company in June 1938 and was liquidated in 1947.   In 1989 this site was occupied by Dreamland Electric Blanket Company.  The photographer is looking at building 6 in a corner at the end of a roadway.  This is a two storey brick building under a pitched roof and a two storey brick building under a flat roof is on the right.  On the left is a brick building with a white painted frontage and a projecting wooden bay window.  A sign board on this building reads 'Dreamland service'.
