A starboard broadside view of the Royal Navy light cruiser Tiger (1945) under way in the North Atlantic off north-west Scotland during the NATO exercise Flat Rock. 'Y' turret is trained forward and her pendant number is C20. The photographer is on board one of the other ships in the fleet. The Tiger (1945) was the flagship of Vice-Admiral F R Twiss who commanded a fleet of 46 ships drawn from six NATO nations for the exercise which took place in the waters off Cape Wrath and Loch Ewe.
