On the flight deck on board the Netherlands Navy aircraft carrier Karel Doorman (1943) under way in the North Sea off the southern Norwegian coast during the NATO exercise Pilot Light. The photographer is in the starboard walkway just abaft the forward 40 mm bofors guns looking forward and to port showing the Sikorsky SH34-J Seabat helicopter coded 137/D tied down with her rotors and her tail boom folded back.
