The Japanese cruiser Hashidate (1891) at anchor
A starboard bow view of the Japanese protected cruiser Hashidate (1891) at anchor. Along the sides are furled torpedo nets. An anchor is lashed to the bulwark, just forward of midships, and, aft, boats hang from davits. There is a small boat just astern the battleship. In the background, off the port beam, is a low lying shoreline.
