A close starboard side view of the fore part of the Royal Navy aircraft carrier Eagle (1946) under way in the English Channel during the NATO exercise Peacekeeper. Only the area from the bow to the forward end of the island superstructure is in the picture. Her pendant number is R05 and she has Hawker Siddeley Buccaneer S.2 aircraft parked forward. She is steaming in close company with the Royal Fleet Auxiliary fleet replenishment ship Olna (1965) to take on bunkers and the photographer is on board the Olna (1965) looking to port and forward from the upper deck amidships showing the fuel hoses in position.
