Chinese Women carrying earth
Three Chinese women carrying soil in two baskets strung on either end of a bar that rests on their shoulders. They wear loose fitting smock and trousers, with cloth hats and bare feet. Just in shot on the far right is the corner of Queen's Building. The women seem to be working on part of the reclamation of this area (Preya Central) of Hong Kong harbour, as there are temporary buildings and other structures on site. Masts of sailing vessels can be seen in the distance, some with sails set.
The original negative envelope was labelled: 'Coolie women carrying earth, Kowloon, 6.2.01'.
