On board the Royal Fleet Auxiliary replenishment ship Black Rover (1973) in the North Atlantic during the NATO exercise Ocean Safari.

On board the Royal Fleet Auxiliary replenishment ship Black Rover (1973) while under way in the North Atlantic during the NATO exercise Ocean Safari. The photographer is looking aft and to port from the starboard side of the superstructure showing a Sikorsky SH-2F Seasprite helicopter serial 7980, coded 38, from the United States Navy frigate Joseph Hewes (1970) (FF-1078) on the helicopter landing platform. The helicopter is tied down but the rotors are turning and a group of men are alongside the aircraft, apparently during a refuelling serial.
