The photographer is looking forward and to starboard from the starboard side of the bridge wing showing the guided missile destroyer Kent (1961) keeping station close alongside during a refuelling serial. The Kent's pendant number is D12. Only her forepart can be seen, everything abaft her forward funnel is out of the picture.
