The photographer is looking forward and to starboard from the starboard side of the bridge wing showing the guided missile destroyer Kent (1961) pulling away from close alongside at the end of a refuelling serial. The pendant number of the Kent is D12 and everything abaft her helicopter hangar is out of the picture.
