On board the Royal Navy helicopter cruiser Tiger (1945) while in the Indian Ocean on passage from Singapore to Bombay. The photographer is on the hangar roof looking aft and slightly to port showing about fifty of the crew drawn up in groups for inspection. The front row is the guard and they are carrying L1A1 self-loading rifles. On the aft end of the flight deck is the Westland Sea King HAS.2 helicopter XV697 coded 42.
